HOW DOES MY FIRST SESSION WORK?

  1. Once we've set up our first appointment, we'll look forward to your arrival (5 minutes early is fine)

  2. We will start with some chatting to review your health and fitness history, dig deep into your goals, and talk through any concerns you have. This is PERSONAL training, and we like to really spend time on YOU here.

  3. Then, we will do a comprehensive functional mobility assessment to help us better understand your body and how it moves. You'll want to dress in comfortable clothes and sneakers you can exercise easily in, but this session won't be too challenging.

  4. With all of this information, together we will build a fitness program incorporating personal or group training, home workouts, other recreation or exercise options, and set up our ongoing training schedule together. 

  5. Your first session with us counts as your first session of a purchased package. We take exact cash, check (made payable to your trainer's name, not FIT Carrboro), and all major credit cards.

  • Free Parking - Behind the building, marked with signs, gravel lot off of Lloyd Street

WHAT TYPES OF HOME FITNESS EQUIPMENT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

We encourage our clients to find ways to exercise on their own in many cases. Our favorite home fitness equipment includes: 

  • Glute Loop Band

  • Elastic Bands with Handles + Door Frame Anchor Strap

  • Suspension Trainer with Door Frame Anchor Strap

  • Swiss Ball (55cm or 65cm size works best for most people)

  • Yoga or Exercise Mat

  • Stretching Strap or Rope

  • Handheld Free Weights

DO YOU OFFER CHILDCARE?

Unfortunately we do not offer childcare services at our studio. If you might find this a challenge, please talk with us.
